Join Us for a Welcome Reception

Following our service on Sunday, January 4, 2026, we’ll be hosting a welcome reception in the Fellowship Hall. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet Rev. Eddy, welcome her to our community, and enjoy fellowship together.

The Hospitality Committee would be delighted to receive any desserts you’d like to bring for this special occasion. Your contributions help make these gatherings even more meaningful.

An Update on Our Ministry Leadership

We wanted to take a moment to share some important updates about our ministry leadership over the coming weeks.

Pastor Ron and Wendy are expecting their son, Theodore James, on December 29, 2025. In celebration of this new life, the church has graciously granted Pastor Ron six weeks of parental leave. We’re grateful that through a grant program from the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), this arrangement comes at no additional cost to our congregation.

During this time, Rev. Lina Eddy will serve as our interim minister from January 4 through February 8, 2026. She will lead our worship services and be available for pastoral emergencies, including hospital visits and funerals. Pastor Ron will return to lead worship on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

We’re blessed to have this opportunity to support Pastor Ron and Wendy during this special time, and we’re equally blessed to have Rev. Eddy join us in ministry.

Meet Rev. Lina Eddy

Rev. Lina Eddy brings a wealth of experience and heart for ministry to our congregation. She has been an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for 28 years, having served in various capacities throughout her ministry journey.

Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rev. Eddy’s path to ministry included teaching in the Philadelphia School System, seminary education at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, and chaplaincy work at Oregon State Hospital and Washington State Hospital. She was ordained in 1997 in Jacksonville, Illinois—the historic home of Barton Stone.

Rev. Eddy previously served as Pastor of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in California, Missouri, for over seven years. Today, she continues her ministry through volunteer work at a food pantry and retail shop, serves on two boards, and is actively involved in her home church. She also promotes the Silver Chalice Ministry Program at the Regional level.

We’re honored to have Rev. Eddy with us and look forward to the gifts she’ll bring to our worship and community life during these six weeks.
