Music Programs
Chancel Choir – Rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30 p.m. The choir sings for both the 8:15 a.m. and the 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning worship services. This choir sings a variety of music: White and Black spirituals, contemporary, jazz, and traditional. This choir also performs at various community functions during the year. The choir has grown over the last two years from 10-40 members. They present two major musical works at Christmas and Easter. Their director is Dr. Janis Gallamore, Minister of Music.
Lake Ozark Harmony – This is the newest music group in the church consisting of 14 men and women. This group was formed to reintroduce Southern gospel music to the 8:15 a.m. outdoor worship service and to the lake area. Their director and accompanist is Dr. Janis Gallamore, Minister of Music. They rehearse on Wednesday evenings after Chancel Choir rehearsal.
Evening Bells – This handbell group was formed in September, 2007. They rehearse on Wednesday afternoon from 4:30-5:30 p.m. They play once a month in the worship services and perform at community functions throughout the year.
Bells of Joy – This handbell group was formed in 2005. They rehearse on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. They play once a month in the worship services and perform at community functions during the year.
CCF Children’s Choir– Practice is on Wednesday, September through May, at 4 p.m. The children’s choir sings once a month on the third Sunday. They also perform a musical program during Advent season.
The music program goals for the future include forming an instrumental group to accompany the chancel choir and congregational hymns. If you would like to be a part of this group or any of the music groups, please contact Dr. Janis Gallamore at the church (573-365-3366).
