Since Ash Wednesday , we have been exploring how traveling through difficult times can bring gifts we might not have expected. Through these times, we learn things about ourselves, others, out faith, and have a chance to reflect and process.

Each of us has been through dark woods times in our lives’ those times where we experienced pain, uncertainty, and other emotions.  There journey are part of the human existence.

Our faith helps us to see that even though we may have traveled into the deepest, darkest places, we can overcome, and we can receive new insight into how we can live more fully and abundantly.

As Spring begins to erupt around us, we are reminded of the gifts of renewal that we can experience.  I hope and pray that you will experience renewal as the Lenten season gives way to the promise of Easter!

Not far off is our Holy Week celebration.  Make plans now to join us as we celebrate “The Gift of Misfits” this Sunday, and then turn our attention to Palm Sunday on March 20 (remember: no early service that day!). Palm Sunday kicks off Holy Week. Here is what will be happening:

Sunday, March 20 – Palm Sunday (No Early Service – 10:30 am only)

Thursday, March 24 – Maundy Thursday Service – 6 pm

Sunday, March 27 – Easter Sunrise Service – 6:30am

Children / Youth Easter program – 9:00 am

Easter Service – 10:30 am

Make plans now to join us for our Holy Week celebration! I look forward to experiencing these special times in the life of our church with you!

We’ve been to the dark woods! It’s almost time to journey back into the light!

Peace,

Gary
