“See” you Sunday
In the Gospel of Luke, Mary sings, “My soul magnifies the Lord.” Known as the Magnificat, this song of hope sets the stage for the radical inclusion of our Savior, who brings down the mighty while lifting up the lowly, who fills the hungry but sends the rich away empty. Indeed, all generations shall call Mary “blessed.”
Well, I have it! Last Saturday morning, I took a COVID test at the Hy-Vee drive thru, and I received a positive test result Tuesday evening. So far, my symptoms have been minor, and I give thanks. My greatest fear is for my parents who came to see me last weekend.
I called the Camden County Health Department for direction, and they were very helpful. I give thanks for the many men and women who serve in the health care field, and I pray for their safety and sanity in these trying times.
I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. I feel your love. I should be able to leave isolation on December 14.
I want to encourage you to take part fully in each worship service. Light a candle. Sing out loud with the rest of us. Take communion. For those with a “smart” TV, you can watch on the YouTube channel. If you are subscribed to our Youtube Channel, you can find it easier. It will also be on the church website and on our Facebook page. Use the check in form to let me know how you are doing, and finally, please join us for Fellowship after the service over Zoom! Simply open your Lake Chimes and click on the link. Alternatively, you can join by phone.
Because we will be recording some elements on Friday and it takes time to put everything together and get it uploaded, we will be sending the worship links in an email either Friday night or on Saturday.
I hope to “see” you this Sunday!
Blessings and Peace,
